THIS IS HOW COFFEE JUST MIGHT BE THE FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH

HAVE YOUR CUP OF COFFEE READY

How often has someone told you, “Coffee isn’t good for you.” Haters gonna hate.

Thing is, the science doesn’t agree.

Each year, a new independent study is released on the health benefits of coffee. They say coffee can help reduce our risk of dementia and melanoma cancer. Other studies have said coffee is good for our gut health.

A new study published in Nature Medicine gives all of us caffeine-addicted, coffee lovers another reason to grab that second cup.

PAIN PAIN GO AWAY

In an interview with Time Magazine, the study author David Furman, consulting associate professor at the Institute for Immunity, Transplantation and Infection at Stanford University said,

“The more caffeine people consumed, the more protected they were against a chronic state of inflammation.”

Why is this important?

The older we get, the less efficient our body becomes. Certain functions slow down, and then, in the case of inflammation, what was once a benefit can become a detriment to our health.

“Inflammation is our body’s defense mechanism to protect us from infection and injury. The purpose is to “localize and eliminate the injurious agent and to remove damaged tissue components so that the body can begin to heal.” – Britannica.com

But as we age, the inflammation that once helped our body heal begins to harm our us.

THE GOOD NEWS FOR COFFEE DRINKERS

We will always take more good news, amiright?

According to the Time article;

People who drank more than five cups of coffee a day showed extremely low levels of activity in the inflammatory gene pathway. Caffeine inhibits this circuit and turns the inflammatory pathway off, the researchers say.

CONCLUSION

The consumption of coffee plays a role in reducing inflammation thereby, allowing our bodies more effectively to combat disease. More research is being done by the group, stay tuned.
